This is an introduction to give context to recent inspection reports from the ISI that are shown on our website. Inwoods Small School is the junior school to Brockwood Park School and when the schools are inspected they are considered as one.

Both schools have experienced a few challenging inspections in recent years. It is our view, and that of our parents and children, that both Inwoods and Brockwood continue to provide a unique and exceptional environment for children to learn and grow. We feel that the minor shortcomings identified in some of the recent inspections are more indicative of an increasingly mechanical and punitive approach to inspections than of any significant oversight on the part of the schools. Having said that, both schools are committed to continuous learning and further improvement and always welcome well-intentioned feedback.

As of August 2025, Inwoods is deemed to meet all relevant standards, including the Independent School Standards and the Early Years Statutory Framework.
